Here we had to design quilts quilts so I decided i wanted to do a collage of previous work/ideas. We had a very short time frame to complete this so I quickly decided on an idea and ran with it. 

In this project i wanted to try acrylic as i haven't properly tried it outside of blocking in colours. I also tried to bring the buildings from my environment into the idea and abstracted the colours so it wasn't distracting.

I like the outcome of this. I like how mostly everything comes together and I like the pattern on the right and i think the 3D element works well as the shadows define the pattern more. Everything has a correlation to previous work. However i dislike the top left section with my type on it. Whilst creating it i didn't want to obscure too many letters but i wish I'd obscured more. I think it would have helped if my type was larger and more consistent with itself. And, it definitely would've helped if the orange background was a different colour. The orange is too similar to the robot and it doesn't work visually. I had originally planned to add watercolour in that area but was unable to as the surrounding pen may have bled. 

I'm happy with the acrylic. Its bold and i like the shading on it. My issue is the yellow highlights, I think its distracting and an ugly colour.
